Creating a Community of Supportive Women: A Beautiful Retreat.
Embarking on the journey to create a community of like-minded women requires courage, but the rewards are immeasurable. I have been working on cultivating a space where women can gather and share stories of hardship and hail mary's, unite their strengths, and encourage each other's growth. Here are some things i’ve learned that can maybe help you decide when the time is right, to join or even start your own community of like minded women. Our 2023 Fall Retreat was one for the books, and I can’t wait to plan the next one! Here are a few BIG PICTURE things to get you going.
First, envision the essence and values of what you want in a community. Unveil its purpose, heart, and soul. Let your thoughts and ideas resonate with clarity and attract and align with your purpose and values. I knew the retreat weekend had to include team building. We all have questions, we all want to know what is next for our businesses and home life... and we all learned so much from each other! From Rikki sharing some in’s and outs of reels + instagram, to Tiffany guiding us through a survival team building activity. I loved watching the team work together, help each other and take away that we can all reach new heights when we work together. We even hosted a wine + charcuterie sampling Friday night and met for Yoga with Alice Saturday morning and had group photos and headshots as well. We packed so much in and I think everyone took away something different that inspired them!
Second, provide a space to connect with each other and a plan. Create this online and/or in-person. Create a safe space to share within the magic of community. Encourage members to share their stories, hold each other accountable, host friendly competitions and bring educational moments to forge bonds of support. I love my VIP page and it is such a special space. I knew I wanted that for my team too, and it really makes such a difference when growing our relationships, especially while being online. I also created a retreat event page where we chatting about what was going to go on. Shared an itinerary, created a loose meal plan and were able to keep chatting and holding each other accountable after the retreat was over!
Last, remain steadfast and resolute, as this journey is not a fleeting moment but a grand tapestry of magic that will unfold over time. Embrace the time growing and learning and let your community evolve, you can’t force it.
I hope you enjoyed some of the photos and a glimpse into our 2023 retreat, if you are looking to push yourself out of your comfort zone and grow, you know where to find me!
